Plug Pulled on The Source

Source Magazine co-founder, David Mays has been ordered by a Manhattan Federal jury to pay $14.5 Million to a former editor, Kimberly Osorio for encouraging a workplace where executives watched porn, smoked weed and called their employees “slut monkeys” and “ugly butch pigs”.
It didn’t help the Source’s case when jurors were played a tape from Hot 97 where co-founder Raymond (Benzino) Scott went on the air to announce that the recently fired Osorio was bed-hopping with hip-hop honchos.
Kimberly Osorio was promoted to Editor in Chief (the first female to hold the position in The Source) in November of 2003 with a $130,000 salary. She was fired 2 years later with no explanation.
